ANDREA FANTINI RACING

 

Andrea started sailing as a child on his family boat in the Adriatic Sea and growing up managed to combine his passion for sailing with his university studies.

The call of the sea was too strong and after his first Atlantic Ocean crossing in 2006, professional sailing became his career, particularly in offshore and ocean navigation.

From 2013 to 2015 as crew of the VOR70 Maserati with Giovanni Soldini, he sailed almost twice around the world in the most important ocean races, attempted and achieved speed records and events.

In 2015 Andrea launched his own project Andrea Fantini Racing, racing his first Transat Jacques Vabre on Class40. Later, supported by the Main Sponsor Enel Green Power, Andrea came back to the legendary Transat Jacques Vabre with a Class40 equipped with innovative technologies for the production of renewable energy.

 

On the same boat, in 2018 he was the only Italian to complete the prestigious Route du Rhum, in an extremely harsh edition which is reported as one the toughest ever. In his “free” time Andrea races in the Mediterranean Sea on different boats, solo or crew, for training and constant improvement.

Working on diverse projects, Andrea has gained experience as brand ambassador for fashion and food brands promoting an environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle.
